Sieon Rhee is an architectural lighting designer specializing in architecture, landscape, interiors, media facades, and art installations. With nearly 20 years of experience across retail, commercial, residential, and hospitality projects in the United States and South Korea, she brings a rare combination of technical precision and refined aesthetic vision to every space.
Sieon holds an MFA in Architectural Lighting Design from Parsons School of Design and a BFA in Graphic Design, with advanced studies in interior design — a multidisciplinary foundation that shapes both the conceptual depth and visual clarity of her work.
As founder and principal of SRLD Lighting Design, Sieon leads projects from concept through construction, delivering cohesive lighting environments tailored to each space and client. Her portfolio includes collaborations with architects and developers such as YZA Architect, Tectonics Lab, Sekisui House, SHAWOOD, and Woodside Homes, with projects ranging from high-end residences to experiential retail spaces.
Prior to founding SRLD, Sieon served as Lighting Design Director at Lotte Department Store in Seoul, overseeing the renovation of five flagship locations, including large-scale media facades and cultural installations, and gained international experience at the New York–based firm L'Observatoire International. She has also taught architectural lighting design at Hongik University and Ewha Womans University.
